This is the full triptych Where I Forget — three paintings I made one after another, in one state, on one breath.
Each painting is part of a dance. I love to dance in a way that makes the world around me disappear — when it no longer matters where you are, what is around you, who is watching. When the body becomes the only thing that is real.
In each of the three works there is a pink bloom in the centre. This is what I call the dancing centre of the soul. It moves from painting to painting — barely visible in the first, glowing in the second, dissolving into colour in the third. I did not plan this — it simply happened. When I saw that the pink had shifted across all three works, I understood that this was the meaning of the triptych.
