Where I Forget I - 80 × 60 × 2 cm / 31.5 × 23.6 × 0.8 in
This is the first painting of a new series.
I painted it more quietly than the others. Fewer flowers here, more air, more linen breathing through. But if you look carefully — in the very centre there is a pink bloom. For me, this is the most important thing about this work.
This is the dancing centre of the soul. It is present in all three paintings, but in a different place in each one. In the first, it is almost shy, holding to the centre. In the second, it has already begun to glow. By the third, you can no longer remember where it is, because the dance is fully underway.
I did not plan this. It simply happened — and when I saw that the pink had shifted across all three works, I understood that it was not just a colour. It was a movement that connects the three paintings into one story.
Where I Forget I is the beginning. If you want stillness before the dance, this is the one.
